  • Given at the point of sales. No need to apply.
  • Rebate amount declines each year by $1000 after 2026.
  • PHEVs qualify for $2,500.

Provincial Rebate

  • $2,500 on the purchase or lease (minimum 48 months) for EVs sold by a dealership with a physical presence in Newfoundland and Labrador.
  • Program is subject to renewal approval April, 2026.
  • Apply online easily after purchase.

For Charging Infrastructure

  • When installing public charging, Drive Electric NL recommends installing chargers that can accept payment for use.
  • Payments at chargers provide an income stream to cover the initial investment, energy use, and maintenance.
